What began as a specialized firearms training company in 2013, has grown into a multifaceted manufacturing operation serving industries far beyond our original roots.
From Training to Retail
We launched in 2013 as Suncoast Weapons & Tactical, focused primarily on firearms trading and hands‑on training. Within two years, customers began asking if we sold firearms directly. At the time, we didn’t — but their interest sparked the next phase of our growth. We secured the proper licensing, purchased a building, and expanded into full retail firearm sales. From Retail to Manufacturing. Not long after entering retail, customers wanted to know if we built firearms ourselves. Again, we didn’t — yet. So we obtained our manufacturing licenses and began producing components and complete firearms.
By 2019, our team was manufacturing roughly 500 AR‑15s per month, supplying distributors at the wholesale level. In 2020 we adapted and shifted our focus toward manufacturing our own goods and components, investing in machinery, processes, and capabilities that allowed us to control our production from the ground up.
In 2023, we rebranded as SWT Aerospace — a name that reflects both our technical capabilities and our expanding reach beyond the firearms industry, into aerospace.
